The Problem
The company was modernizing its ERP and data warehouse, on premises and in the cloud, because its old setup held the business back:
- Its BW system on AnyDB couldn't meet the business's reporting SLAs.
- Its data models were complex, so changing them for new business requirements was slow.
- It needed a cloud reporting tool to blend data from its other applications with the ECC data in BW.
What We Did
We brought business and IT together to find the data providers nobody needed, and removed them before the move. Then we moved the company to SAP BW/4HANA with SAP Analytics Cloud, converted every legacy report to Analysis for Office or SAP Analytics Cloud, and simplified the architecture with the LSA++ approach.
