CHALLENGES

The customer embarked on a digital transformation journey to modernize its ERP and data warehouse footprint to the latest technologies both on-premises and in the cloud due to the following:

  • Existing BW system on AnyDB was unable to meet the business SLA’s when it came to reporting performance
  • Data models were complex and time consuming to tweak hence slow response to changing business requirements
  • Needed a cloud based reporting tool to help bring data from the suite of applications and blend with ECC data residing in SAP BW on AnyDB
SOLUTION

SAP BW/4HANA with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

RESULTS

A robust BW/4HANA system managing enterprise data from the S/4HANA digital core and all other data sources.

  • By aligning business and IT teams, unwanted data providers were identified and removed resulting in a leaner system and smaller migration scope.
  • All legacy reports were converted to Analysis for Office Reports and SAC
  • Overall architecture was simplified with the introduction of LSA++ approach.
  • The client could now explore big data effectively, use business intelligence and predictive analysis tools, and strategize with real-time insights to make informed decisions.
