While audiences around the world have been watching what happens on stage at a Cirque du Soleil performance, behind the scenes the organization has been relying on SAP for decades to run the show.
“SAP has been a trusted advisor for more than 20 years and RISE with SAP represents a critical next step in allowing us to continually evolve our business,” says Stéphane Lefebvre, president and CEO of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group.
Here are some ways Cirque du Soleil has been using SAP products, and is taking its business forward with them:
Cloud-first business: Using RISE with SAP, Cirque du Soleil has used SAP Ariba and SAP Concur to drive a transition to a cloud-first business. SAP says in its customer story on the organization that “with stronger data integrity and governance, Cirque du Soleil has reduced the risk of errors and is taking advantage of automated processes and information workflows to manage its talented people.”
SAP Concur: This solution allows Cirque to navigate its more than 6,000 trips each year, 40 flights per day and thousands of room bookings per month.
SAP Ariba: Managing the thousands of costumes and pieces of equipment for the custom-built sets is daunting. SAP Ariba solutions allows the organization to procur the niche and specialty equipment needed from global suppliers.
