Nine Dashboards in Five Months Moved a Food Manufacturer to Proactive Plant Maintenance
The Problem
The manufacturer wanted to act on maintenance needs across its plants before they became problems. When it moved to S/4HANA it added the Plant Maintenance module, but the standard Fiori app offered limited analytics for what the business wanted to see, and tracking took manual work. It needed nine dashboards, each with its own KPIs, covering:
- Maintenance notifications.
- Equipment criticality.
- Maintenance work orders.
- Other metrics.
What We Did
We built the analytics on SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud. Each dashboard summarizes its KPIs for the people who use it and lets them drill down into the detail. The project took five months and four people from start to finish.
